DESCRIPTION
Diamine Oxidase (DAO) is the primary enzyme responsible for the breakdown of histamine in the digestive tract. Histamine Digest is indicated for those with intolerance to dietary histamine, histamine sensitivity, and occasional digestive distress related to histamine-containing foods and beverages. You may take Histamine Digest proactively daily to maintain a long-term balance of DAO-histamine in your body.
Histamine Digest delivers naturally derived diamine oxidase to the small intestine, where it acts directly on dietary histamine to defend against histamine-related reactions and digestive discomfort.
Available: 60 Capsules
CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
- Intolerance to dietary histamine
- Histamine sensitivity
- Occasional digestive distress related to histamine-containing foods and beverages
OVERVIEW
DAO is present in the small intestine where it naturally degrades and helps to eliminate histamine in order to protect a balance in your body. Under normal, balanced conditions, DAO and histamine comfortably coexist. However, our diet has changed. We ingest more processed and fermented foods that are high in histamine. With the increase in histamine load, the body can no longer naturally cope with the challenge causing more and more people to lack a sufficient supply of DAO. This can cause an intermittent imbalance or a daily imbalance in histamine causing problems such as allergies, leaky gut, and migraine headaches.
INGREDIENT BENEFITS
Histamine Digest provides an umbrella of protection against dietary histamine with naturally derived DAO in a patented enteric matrix designed to release the active enzyme where it’s needed, when it’s needed.
